Strict eligibility criteria apply:
- Researchers of any nationality are welcome to apply
- The RTG 3190 is limited to researchers who are, at the time of recruitment, in the first four years of their research career (full-time equivalent research experience) and have not been awarded a doctoral degree.
- You have completed a university degree (Diploma, MSc, or equivalent) in Life Sciences, including Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine or Medicine.
Procedure:

- All applications will be checked for eligibility. You may be asked to submit further details.
- Eligible applications will be evaluated according to a standardized evaluation sheet.
- Two referees need to provide a reference letter by mid February (for invited candidates only).
- Selected candidates will be invited for an interview.
- Save the date: recruitment symposium: either in person (February 9, 2026) or online (February 10-11, 2026)
- Candidates might be invited for a second interview (online or in person).
- Candidates will be notified of the outcome.
- Start of employment May 2026
